Was Disney World Safe? Post Covid-19 Reopening

People who were not wearing masks in picture took it off just for a photo and right back on.. which I do not know if allowed but they were a safe distance.

Today I had the pleasure of attending the cast member previews with my best friend and her boyfriend! Now listen, I am the worlds biggest worrier EVER! I am terrified of everything but I told my self I will not say no to any opportunity that came my way and within two hours I had to decide to go to Orlando and go to MK for the day or wish I would of said Yes and stayed home. So I researched how safe it would be and let me say, experiencing it confirmed what was said was going to happen was true because I felt extremely safe and here’s why…

So again this was cast members only and very limited amount were allowed in, they had to reserve a spot in order to get into the park. So the park was extremely quiet! All the rides had little or no wait time!

So before you enter the park you must get your temperature scanned and cleared. You then go into security, which are Metal detectors, and when entering them you do not remove your bags, just walk through it with everything on you.

Every cast member is wearing a mask and face shield as well! Also every entrance and exit of a ride, restaurant, etc. had a hand sanitizer dispenser and/or a hand washing station throughout the park.

They were sanitizing rides and social distancing everywhere! Including parking!!! No cars can park next to each other at the same time so families can keep their distance. Also trams are not working so plan to walk a little bit! They had tape everywhere to allow distance. Also rides were empty allowing one party per car. For example splash mountain, space mountain etc. we had our own log! On the Buzz lightyear ride, there was no one 10 cars in front of us and no one behind us for a mile! Haunted mansion, they are not doing the room experience and are doing every other car and stopping to sanitize. The park was completely distant from each other and also only allowing a certain amount of people into stores at a certain amount of time with one entrance and one exit.

They are also social distancing with the monorails and have a shield in between the cars, along with ride lines, they also have plastic shield to separate the lines.

Shield is seen behind me!

In order to eat, you must order your food through the My disney experience app and then you will get a notification on when your food is ready. You then go to the station and pick up the food and go to a social distanced table inside or outside the restaurant. They are also limiting the number of guests and watching to make sure you have your mask on. Only allowing people to take their masks off when food is present.

Now the mask! I for sure thought I was going to be extremely uncomfortable wearing a mask in Florida especially during the summer. But I’m not going to lie… it really was not that bad!!! I think the excitement of being in the park took my mind off my face. But I wore a heavy mask and didn’t feel uncomfortable once.

I was extremely impressed with Disney. I know this was only cast members and there was a super low amount of people but I was extremely impressed and didn’t get near anyone and didn’t feel like I put myself or others in danger. Which is extremely impressive if I feel like this because again if you know me I’m the worlds biggest worrier about anything and everything! I honestly felt more in danger going to Walmart and target than I did today at Disney.

In my opinion, have fun, be safe, stay hydrated, put on a cute mask and follow the guidelines to have fun!

So grateful my bff invited me for a day of magic! Hope this helps you if you plan on going to Disney Post Covid! If you have any questions do not be afraid to ask!

OUR DREAM HONEYMOON| Santorini, Greece

Since I was a little girl, I always said Santorini was my DREAM destination. I always said that with the mindset that it will never happen… that it was never achievable. That it probably cost thousands and thousands of dollars… AND MAN WAS I WRONG!

If you do not know me, I am terrified of flying. Yes I have an airplane tattoo and that’s just a reminder that I can do anything I put my mind to. But Ryan and I knew if we were going to Europe for our Honeymoon, we were going to make it a trip that would last a lifetime. I am also a super big “fly cheap” kind of person so I will find out if it is cheaper to fly from another City, Country, or etc. Hence why we flew to London to fly back to Miami, USA because rather than a $1,000+ flight from Athens, Greece to Miami. We paid $26 from Athens to London and then $200 to Miami.

So I found a $50 flight from Milan to Santorini, Greece. We flew Aegean Airline to Athens and then a small plane from Athens to Santorini. There is only one Airplane strip on the Island and a tiny airport with one luggage carrier pickup. We also noticed we did not go through any customs from Italy to Santorini. I also forgot to mention that in my Italy Blog… I never got a stamp from Italy because we never went through customs!

As soon as we got to Santorini the sun was beginning to set. We did not book a transfer to our hotel as we did not know how transportation was going to be as many people we know have never flown to the island. So as soon as you leave the airport you will see a few pop up tourism buildings. The best way I can describe Santorini is like being on a cruise. Everyone on the island is hired to work for 9 months straight and then have 3 months off for off season. But… we went to the transfer booth and asked about the transfer to our hotel which was in the city of Oia, the city of the best sunsets. This was about a 30 min drive to the other side of the island. We paid $45 for a private transfer round trip to the hotel and back to the airport. Our driver was the same person there and back and was extremely helpful and kind. We were dropped off at the tourism center where we had to check into our hotel.

When we checked in we were then greeted by a extremely nice gentleman and his dog Roxy, who wasn’t his dog but you will see the island is filled with dogs and cats EVERYWHERE! They seemed to all be extremely taken care of and are allowed in most stores. They helped us carry our bags to our hotel as it was a 10 min walk up and down flights and flights of stairs. The whole island is stairs as it is mostly cave like buildings. We got to our hotel and BOOM! No power! They were experiencing their second power outage on the island. We traveled there mid November which is just about when offseason is going to begin which I did not even know was a thing as well before our trip. When we got there a lot was closed but there were a lot that was opened. The island was pretty empty compared to what you see and read on the island. We did not have to wait to enter any restaurant, bar, or store. We got the best seat in the house, with the best views on the decks. It did not rain but twice late at night the whole trip. We ate at beautiful restaurants and I literally can not say one thing negative about anything I had ate or drank. Even the apple juice was the best!!! They say they grow everything on the island which is how they get the sweetest and greatest flavors.

Restaurant Recommendations-

Our Hotel had the best view and hot tub and was my favorite part of the whole trip! We stayed in the honeymoon suite and was greeted with a note and a bottle of wine! One thing to also remember when traveling to Santorini is since it is an island plumbing is different and difficult. You can not flush ANYTHING! Not even toilet paper… which is really hard to remember when you are half asleep to not throw it in the toilet when you’ve been raised your whole life to do so… So yes it is disgusting but they provide you a trashcan that is inclosed for you to throw away anything. Our hotel provided a coffee bar every morning. We had our own table and hot tub but the hotel also had a beautiful deck with huge chairs and two in ground infinity life pools with an amazing view for all guests to enjoy as well! Our hotel was literally in the center of Instagram photoshoot EVERYONE came a few steps from hotel to take their IG pics with the beautiful water and white and blue churches. Which we also learned on our tour that the churches are blue on top to represent the heavens.

We decided in order to see the rest of the island, as Oia is on the other side of the island and Fria was more in the middle, and that the only way to see the Red and Black beach on the other side was to take a bus tour! We booked it at the same place we checked into our hotel which was at the tourism center. Which I forgot to mention the tourism center is also filled with convenience stores, restaurants and bars. We booked it and a Big Private A/C Short VW Tour bus came and picked us up! We were the only ones at the Oia Bus Stop and was the first of passenger pick ups. We picked up the rest of the passengers which was a lot of fun as the tour guide had everyone introduce ourselves and see where everyone was from we had people from Jamaica, UK, Ireland, America, Canada it was really awesome to get to know everyone and their cultures and come together as a tour group to make our experience the best! Our first stop was at the highest point of the island. We went up a huge mountain and was able to get out of the bus and see the whole island from this point, which was extremely awesome to do!

Our next stop was to the oldest city in Santorini, Greece that was preserved into a museum that you are able to even walk through! This was fun as Ryan is 6’3 and the Greeks are known to be short, our tour guide said the tallest greek person is usually 5’2 which is what I am. So all the doors Ryan had to duck under haha! This was a lot of fun and was an extra $6 but worth it to see original history of the city!

Our next stop after was to the Black Sand Beach, the black sand is made from lava which makes the sand warm! We were able to eat at a nice beach restaurant where Ryan was able to try Greek Octopus! We played in the sand and water after and then headed to one of the world famous Wine Museums! We were able to try Greek Dessert Wine which is what they are mostly know for as their grapes are grown to be sweet and they build unique nest like vines. After our tasting we were able to go into an underground Wine museum where you can visually see how they produce their wine and also purchase wine to bring home. When ever you are drinking wine in Greece they always say “Yamas” which basically means “Cheers!” before every drink or meal!

I really enjoyed this trip and the last stop was Oia which is where we stay anyways but for those not staying in Oia they were able to experience the world’s best sunset! I would highly recommend this tour. It was very well paced and we were able to explore at times at our pace rather than feel like we were being dragged along, very personable and worth it. It was $22 but worth every minute! The tourism center offers different tours all the time as well, for example, they also had a volcano tour as well! Just do your research and make a list of must haves and see what season they are offered at in Santorini. Our main goal was to relax which I think we were able to achieve.

On one of our last days we decided to go down the 300 steps which this is where you can go to see the beautiful sunset if you do not have a villa facing the water. We went down and we decided to walk it ourselves, you can get a donkey but we did not want to do so as they are kinda abused. We walked down and all it was is restaurants and a pier. We just sat down and enjoyed the view and then struggled on the way back up haha We got ice cream to make it worth it as well.. which to me Greece had better Ice cream and Pizza than Italy.

We made friends with lots of locals who worked at stores and restaurants and felt like we were at a home away from home. I can not wait to one day go back to Santorini and even though we went on an offseason with everything not completely open I completely loved it as it was quiet, romantic and wasn’t interrupted by thousands of tourists.

Remember we are two recent college grads and we paid for our honeymoon ourselves. We researched cheap flights and flew to Italy to go to Greece, you do not have to pay $3K to get to this island just be smart and you can travel on a budget!

Hope you enjoyed and if you have any questions I may of not had answered in this Blog I would love to try my best to answer it!

Hope you one day can experience this beautiful Island!!!

The TRUTH about our Italy Honeymoon|Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan

It has always been a dream of mine to go to Italy and specifically go with my husband! Movies always showed Italy to be Romantic and Rome to be the city of love. I found extremely cheap tickets to go after our wedding. So we booked our $150 ticket on Air Portugal from Miami to Rome and head off to Italy before our week in Greece.

I would recommend this airline and we paid for extra legroom since Ryan is 6’3 and needs all the room he can get! Luggages, Food and wifi were all included in the price for economy.

Our flight to Italy was a breeze! We had one quick lay over in Lisbon, Portugal and then landed in Rome, Italy. When we got to Rome, our luggages were in a whole separate terminal so we had to walk and try to figure out where our luggages were and after an hour we found them! We took our taxi to our hotel into the beautiful Vatican city. The hotel we stayed at was Suites Giulia and was in an amazing location.

Our first day we spent the day napping and getting adjusted to the time change. We went out for Dinner and Gelato and went right back to sleep.

The next day we started our Journey of exploring! We took an uber which I believe is now illegal in Europe but was the easiest way for us to get the train/bus station in the heart of Rome where we needed to get to our Bus. Which fun fact we found out even though it says you have to get on the bus for the first time at the Bus station you actually can start at what ever stop is closest to you. We got on the Bus went to the colosseum and waited for our tour time! We decided to do a tour because you can skip the LONG lines and when I say long it was hours long and we went during the end of season travel. So extra money is so worth it. We waited and we showed up 30 mins early to check in and found out you had to be there 45 mins early and they wouldn’t let us on the tour. They rescheduled our trip and we got an even better tour as they added the Palatine Hill and Gladiator Area and Walk through the Loser gate. We began to wait for the next tour time which was only an hour and a half later but I began to feel extremely sick. I have never felt so fatigue and sick to my stomach. I have never wanted to faint or felt dizzy in my entire life. We went to the check-in counter and explained to them how I felt and they reschedule us again for the next morning. We quickly called an uber and headed back to our hotel. We ate Tums, ate a meal and slept for hours. After sleeping I began to feel like myself again and we decided to continue exploring. We walked to our closest bus stop and headed to the Spanish steps, Fountain of Trevi and walking around the whole city before we went to Dinner.

The next day we spent going to the Colosseum and the Vatican. We did not do the Skip the line tour for Vatican or the Sistine Chapel. The line looked long but it was only because no matter where you go in Italy you will go through extreme security. Most places you have to be wearing proper clothing, can not carry weapons, can not bring in liquids, must take jackets off and go through metal detectors. We waited in line for 20 mins and the line moved extremely quickly. We then walked to the Sistine chapel to go and see the famous Michelangelo painting. Which is about a 20 min walk from the Vatican that turned into a 2 hour walk for Ryan and I as we got lost and because of the language barrier it hard to ask for directions. Once you enter the Sistine Chapel it was hard for us to get around the crowds and explore in our paste, also the Museum is HUGE!!! Bring your student IDs, yes even from America or any country, as you can get a discounted ticket. Once you make it to the famous painting at the end of the museum, You can not take photos of the famous painting and they will have security everywhere watching and yelling at people who do.

… Now for my favorite part of Italy Florence!

Florence, Italy

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Florence! It has romance, kind people, shopping on every corner. It is a city where you can feel safe walking around and exploring. Amazing foods and views! We stayed at Palazzo Alfieri Residenza D’Epoca Alfieri Collezione and they kindly upgraded us when they found out we were on our Honeymoon to the Executive Suite and gave us free Breakfast! I mean it when I say the SWEETEST PEOPLE WORKED HERE! The room had an amazing waterfront view and was the perfect location to be in it was directly in the middle of the city! We were able to walk everywhere!!! We also found out that Florence is where Gucci is made, which is the reason they have so many Gucci stores and the Gucci Museum and Cafe! Ryan and I obviously had to purchase and when I say that I mean Ryan convinced me that we deserved it for all the work we have done and as graduation gifts haha Gucci as it is also cheaper since it is where it is manufactured and since we are Americans we get our Tax money back as they include tax in all their prices.

No matter what you buy in Europe… SAVE YOUR Receipts! once you are at the airport about to leave any place in Europe to go back to the states you can go to the exchange desk and get back your Tax money. We got back $300 and we didn’t even save everything. Pro tip is though they will ask to see the items you want to receive money back on.

We decided to go on a Wine tour!!! The tour was a small group, on a small private A/c Tour bus and it was the best! The bus was comfortable, had wifi and the tour guide Leo was extremely entertaining and knowledgable! We learned that almost everyone in Florence speaks english and Rome is one of the only places that speak Italian. Every city is almost a different language speaking city.

We also visited the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery where we got to see the Statue of David!

The whole city is literally beautiful and filled with restaurants that are authentic and beautiful unlike Rome where you mostly eat outside under a tent.

Restaurant Recommendation:

Venice, Italy

We were only in Venice for a day. We got off the train and walked to our hotel (A/C Marriott) which was only a one big bridge and one small bridge from the train station we did not need to take a water taxi or walk miles of stairs and bridges to get there. I spoke to a friend before going to Venice and did not realize how it is not easy to get around venice. So be aware where you book your hotel because you will have to carry your suitcases up and down stairs/bridges for miles to get to your hotel. Venice is like one big circle as well! We arrived in the morning, checked into our hotel and walked around the big circle till we got back to the hotel and got ready for Dinner. We went to an “exclusive” reservations only restaurant called Hostaria Osotioosopra and it was delicious!!! We noticed it was raining which is why we bought an umbrella from Rome with us as it was rainy there as well. However, we noticed that earlier in the day we saw EVERYONE with bags on their feet and rain boots on and they have a portable elevated flooring kind of like a stage but literally throughout the WHOLE city. We did not realize, nor were we told by anyone, that the city was about to FLOOD! As we were walking back to our hotel, the same route we just took to get to Dinner was completely flooded!!! We had to take a different route with bridges and such and made it back but… We spent the next hour in our hotel blow drying our shoes dry so we didn’t have to pack wet shoes. So the next morning we decided okay the city is flooded we saw what we came to see.. besides go on a gondola which I was SO excited about until I saw it in person and realized it was nothing like the movies due to the weather the water was extremely rough and you can see the captains were struggling and no one seemed to be enjoying the experience so we decided to use the cash we took out to buy souvenirs for our family. We decided to book a last minute trip to Milan, Italy. We booked a stay at the Milan Airport which we were flying out of to go to Greece anyways so we decided let’s explore the city a little!

Milan, Italy

Milan is filled with stores you would see in America. It was a little bit of fresh air. Starbucks and Uniqlo and the beautiful Duomo !!! We ended the night of shopping by getting gelato and then headed to the Hotel which was an hour train and bus ride back to the hotel. While we got on the train I was randomly selected by Italian police, 4 Military members and a cop approached me and asked for my passport and questions of where I am from and where am I going and what I am doing in Milan. Once they got word from their boss that I was cleared they got off the train and we were off to our stay at the Moxy Hotel in the Milan Airport! This is a Marriott hotel and was extremely clean, up to date with technology, modern looking and had good quick food that you can heat up and eat!

What I learned about Italy and would suggest to anyone going to Italy.

First tip: Study and ask anyone if they have been to Italy and ask what they suggest to eat in that city! Trust me you want to find these authentic restaurants. Do not waste your time just going into a restaurant to eat just because trust me it is not worth it!

Always carry your passport with you! They literally have military everywhere and like stated before I was randomly selected to be checked, don’t know why but I was.

Do the HOP ON HOP OFF BUS in Rome!!!

and Have Fun!!!

Hope you enjoyed the Blog about my trip to Italy!!! Hope it helps you on your next Italy trip!

How to Become a Successful Youtube Vlogger

IMG_6869

Hey! First off congrats and you are off to a great start if you are looking up how to be successful because it takes initiative and passion to really get where you want to be in life. No one is going to spoon feed success to you and it is up to you to do what you love.

Also want to mention do not listen to any hate or negative people because if you want to vlog then do it!!! GO AFTER YOUR DREAMS!!! Can not wait to see what content you create!!!

Also do not be shy to subscribe to my Youtube Channel: Andrea M Jara

Here I will give you my vlogger starter pack and a step by step on how to begin!

Step one: Think about the Content you are going to create. What is your niche? Really think of what you enjoy to do as it has to be fun for you! Do you love food? Travel? Disney? Success and money? Etc? Anything!!!

Step two: Come up with a creative name! I decided to brand myself with my own name as I will have the freedom to change what I do at any moment, unlike if my name was “Andreatravelseveryday” and then I would be stuck with only traveling as it would be hard to rebrand. So I would really think hard about the name and DO NOT RUSH IT! It will come and remember this is what your audience will know you as!

Step three: Create a Gmail account!!! You want to use the name you created in the email as this will become your brand in my opinion, but you can use any email if you would like to! But you need a Gmail account to open a Youtube account!

Step four:  Create a youtube channel!!! Go to Youtube.com and connect your gmail account and boom you are done!!!

Step five: Change your profile pic and banner pic!!!

Step six: Plan out a week or two of content and ideas of video you would like to create. For example, say if you are going to the zoo or going out to eat during the week write it down so you know you need to film that when you are vlogging. It helps motivate you to film and keeps you organized.

Step Seven: Keep a schedule so your audience knows when to expect a video! This is something I personally have to work on!

OKAY SO NOW YOU ARE LIKE ANDREA I HAVE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND A NAME AND CONTENT IDEAS BUT NOW WHAT? WHAT DO I FILM WITH OR EDIT WITH???

My Vlogging Gear

IMG_7845

ALL THE BOLD WORDS ARE LINKS TO EACH PRODUCT

First off you do not need a fancy camera to vlog but I will provide everything I use from my iphone to my drone!

When I first started to vlog I used my iPhone and edited on imovie… wow the easy days haha

The iPhone I started off with was an iPhone 6S, but you can honestly use any iPhone even the iPhone X has an amazing camera and Samsung phones as well!!!

IMG_6885

After my iPhone, I upgraded to my Canon PowerShot G7 X which I love for easy travel video and vlogs!!! It is small and durable!!! There is a Second Version, the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II that is the same but has a better auto focus.

I also use a Wind Screen for my Canon, this is a must if you plan on vlogging outside because wind can ruin your whole audio and you DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!!!

IMG_7937

I also use a Panasonic LUMIX G7 and LOVE IT! You can shoot 4K and 1080p, and it is overall fun to shoot with, however, it is a little bigger to travel.

I use this mic, Rode VideoMic, on my Panasonic LUMIX G7 for as much quality audio as possible! I recommend this if you are really focusing on people talking or background noises, overall the better your audio is the better the video will be!

You can also get a wind shield mic protection for the Rode VideoMic.

I also use a GoPro to get footage on when I am going anywhere near water!!! I use the GoPro Hero5 Black and love it!!!

Lastly, I just wrote a whole Blog on my Drone called “My favorite Travel DJI Drone” check it out for more details but I love this drone so much!

My Editing Software

I use Final Cut Pro for everything!!! I find it the quickest and easiest!!! You can also add a bunch of Plugins for Filters and Transitions and etc.

However, It may be easier to edit if vlogging on an iphone with iMovie as well!!!

If you do not have a Mac you can use Premiere! Also easy to edit footage on!!!

Conclusion

You are all set you start chasing your dreams or just vlog for fun!!! I love watching vlogs and I love creating vlogs. They are your own personal movies that you will have for ever. So treasure them!!!

If you have a vlog channel Leave it down below I want to watch and let’s all spread the love!!!

My Favorite Travel DJI Drone

Advice for those looking for a drone to travel with and what I suggest! A full DJI spark review

Ryan with drone
My fiancé flying my DJI Spark

Hi! If you do not follow my social media, first off INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER links here, GO FOLLOW!

Anyways, I love to travel and I love to film and create travel diaries! I knew if I wanted to up my film game I needed a Drone! So about 6 months ago I got the DJI SPARK (https://amzn.to/2t6dPBN) ! I did my research and loved what I found!

Now here is why I think you should get the DJI SPARK https://amzn.to/2t6dPBN if you are a travel on the go film/drone flyer!

FIRST OFF! The size! You can not beat the fact that it fits in a super small case and you can put it into your backpack without having to pack a separate bag for everything. The exact size is 143×143×55 mm! It is tiny! However, it does shoot very well!

The DJI Spark does not shoot 4K quality but if you are a quick editor or on he go all the time 1080 is great for any computer and any hard drive. You do not have to worry if you will be able to send the footage to your phone or if your computer can handle the files because it shoots the same quality as your Apple iPhone 7 Plus, GSM Unlocked, 32GB – Black (Certified Refurbished)“>iPhone! When ever I shoot 4K on my PANASONIC LUMIX G7 4K Mirrorless Camera, with 14-42mm MEGA O.I.S. Lens, 16 Megapixels, 3 Inch Touch LCD, DMC-G7KS (USA SILVER)“>Lumix G7 camera or on my GoPro HERO5 Black“>GoPro Hero 5 it takes forever to edit, as all the files have to render and my computer, Apple MacBook Pro MD101LL/A 13.3-inch Laptop (2.5Ghz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD) (Certified Refurbished)“>a Macbook Pro, constantly crashes I just got tired of it and knew that a DJI Spark Drone Quadcopter Fly More Combo (Alpine White) with 3 Batteries, Remote Controller, Charger, Charging Hub, Shoulder Bag, Camera Gimbal Bundle Kit with MUST HAVE Accessories“>DJI Spark would give me the quality I wanted and the convience of quick editing and viewing ability.

Here are three videos I filmed from Utah, Iceland and Los Angeles using my Spark

I also love the fact that you can connect your Apple iPhone 7 Plus, GSM Unlocked, 32GB – Black (Certified Refurbished)“>iPhone into the controller! Which means again less space to be taken up in your travel bags! After you are done flying you can just drop off the footage onto your phone with a click of a button.

The spark is super easy to learn how to fly!!! Just take it out into an open field and practice moving the right side up and down and the left side!!! Trust me it is fun!

The fact that the drone is so small as well is that you can fly it anywhere and in-between things as well. You can also fly it without people really noticing that you are filming and flying a drone as some times that can be distracting.

Each battery lasts about 15 minutes. To some 15 minutes may seem like a lot of time, but 15 minutes goes by quick!!! and you technically have like 10 minutes because at 5 mins left the drone begins to try to go home. You can buy DJI Spark Intelligent Battery, Black (CP.PT.000789)“>extra batteries as well as the charging dock can charge up to four batteries at one time along with the controller.

The drone can also fly up to 13,00 feet which is super high!!!

Wind movement is very limited, it does do well with stabilization in the wind but will be picked up from heavy gusts of wind!

However, I have crashed my DJI Spark With Remote Control Combo (White)“>DJI spark before and thanks to the Propeller protectors I still have all my wings! and it is perfectly fine! So they have strength!

The best part about the DJI Spark With Remote Control Combo (White)“>DJI Spark is the price!!! It is super cost-affordable compared to other Drones!!!

You can also get a DJI Spark Portable Mini Drone Alpine White (Certified Refurbished) (Standard Unit)“>refurbished drone which means it was once used, but was fixed to be brand new!

I would recommend getting aDJI Spark Drone Quadcopter Fly More Combo (Alpine White) with 3 Batteries, Remote Controller, Charger, Charging Hub, Shoulder Bag, Camera Gimbal Bundle Kit with MUST HAVE Accessories“> package deal that comes with an SD card, Micro Sd card reader, the propeller protectors, the case, and extra batteries. This is what I bought as I knew when I will be traveling I would need extra batteries already charged up and ready to go and knew I was going to need to buy an SD card or else I would be able to film!

I do recommend bringing a GETIHU Portable Charger 13000mAh Power Bank 2 USB Ports 4.8A Output High-Speed Charging External Battery Backup with Flashlight for iPhone 7 6s 6 Plus 5s iPad Tablet Samsung Mobile Phone Pack“>portable charger for your iPhone as it does drain your iPhone Battery!

Overall, It is everything you can ask for in a drone! The camera movements, the fact that it is light and small enough to fit in the bottom of your travel bag, and the easy assembly!

If you are looking for a drone for a first timer this will be your drone!

DJI Spark With Remote Control Combo (White)“>DJI Spark

Thanks for reading I hope this inspires someone and hope this helps anyone on the hunt for a Drone, or a drone to travel with on their adventures.

HOW I TRAVEL THE WORLD WITH NO MONEY

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Hey!!!! I know you are reading this because you are thinking “I want to travel but my bank account says stay home.” When ever I see someone after a trip I also get asked “How do you travel so much?” or “omg you must be rich because you travel a lot” or “do you even work?” and the answers are always, “really because I feel like I haven’t seen enough of this beautiful world” and “no I am also a broke college student like you” and “yes Ryan and I work normal jobs like you.”

Honestly HATE when people say “ugh you are so lucky you get to travel” or “I wish I had money to travel like you do.” BUT IN ALL REALITY YOU CAN!!!!

But let’s skip the BS thoughts some people have and get into what I do and my tips and tricks.

 BE FLEXIBLE!!!!!

Now when I say be flexible I mean with your travel dates and travel locations. You may really want to go on a weekend but in reality it may be cheaper to leave on a Wednesday or a week later than when you wanted to travel.

SIGN UP FOR ALL THE AIRLINES MILES PROGRAMS!!!

FIRST OFF WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOT SIGNING UP FOR THESE!!! THEY ARE FREE!!! You get free miles every time you travel with that airline!!! If you travel with that airline often you may be able to get free upgrades, food or even better FREE FLIGHTS!!! I traveled to LA for free because I saved up my miles and got a free round trip ticket!!!! It is so SIMPLE!!!

IF OVER 18!!! GET A TRAVEL CARD!!!

If you are over the age 18 and is responsible and have cash! Get your self a travel credit card because this way you are able to get more discounts on hotels and flights, along with perks like priority boarding but you get DOUBLE MILES sometimes MORE!!! After you spend $1,000-2000 you get 40,000 miles- 60,000 miles!!!! That is multiple roundtrip flights for free. Again only use if you have cash to pay it off and be responsible!

MAKE TRAVEL TICKET HUNTING A PART TIME HOBBY

A lot of the time I travel is because I just so happened to run into a $50 dollar plane ticket to a place or city I have never traveled to and want to go. I literally make it a hobby to constantly check airplane tickets and studying the best times to travel. I use the skyscanner app to see what airlines travel to what cities and when the best times are to travel to certain areas. This allows me to say okay Delta travels to LAX and then you can go directly to Delta’s website and purchase the ticket from the. This app also this cool feature where you click “EXPLORE” and you put “ANYWHERE” at “ANYTIME” from a specific departing airport and it tells you THE CHEAPEST PLACES TO TRAVEL ANYWHERE WITHIN A 6 MONTH PERIOD. This is how I found my families $230 roundtrip ticket to Iceland and back!!! Just from exploring my options. (ps wish this was sponsored but it’s not I just REALLY LOVE THIS APP)

TIP 3: GO TO THE AIRPORT TO BUY YOUR TICKET!!!!!

When you go directly to the airport you do not have to pay all the crazy service charge fees!!!!! Ryan and I saved $70 for going to the airport to buy our ticket for our latest NYC trip we paid $29 for a one way ticket and $42 dollars back!!! IT IS SO CRAZY BUT IT WORKS!!!!

DO NOT BE SEAT PICKY!!!

If you are traveling alone or with a buddy as long as you booked your tickets at the same time you will be seated next to or very close to that person. I say skip the expensive “seat selection” that for some reason always changes… and get your seat for free!!!!

TRAVEL LIGHT!!!

I KNOW! I KNOW! I can hear you all screaming at me! How can you pack light when you have to take a pic in all 20 outfits sitting in your closet right now!!!  My tip for this is TRY ON ALL THE CLOTHES and make outfits that can be reused in different ways. Sometimes you think an outfit may be cute as well and it might not actually be cute… it happens to me all the time and then you think that could of been space I could of saved. Try to pack as much in a backpack or carry on so you do not have o pay for the luggage space on the airplane.

DO NOT ALWAYS TRAVEL BUT AIRPLANE OR UBER EVERYWHERE!!!

ALWAYS!!! Look for what the city’s or states public transportation options are because you may be able to say HUNDREDS of dollars. For example, Last year Ryan and I flew into San Francisco and we wanted to visit family in Sacramento. An airplane was $211 for a one way ticket for ONE PERSON!!! Instead we found a Gray hound that cost $11!!!! The Greyhound has plugs, wifi, and comfy seats!!! We paid $11 and got more than what most airplanes provide for $100s! Yes Greyhounds may seem scary to some and I would recommend you do your research for certain bus stop areas but I just brought my neck pillow and closed my eyes and feel asleep for 3 hours and we arrived!  Also Trains!!! Trains may cost you $3-10 dollars and can get you anywhere from city to city to state to state!!! Just do your research before you jump into a $50 uber. Who knows you may get lost and find somewhere beautiful!!!!!

DO NOT STAY IN THE BUSY CITIES

I feel like this is a common tip because it’s like common sense, sometimes looking for a place to stay 5 mins away from the main cities may be more peaceful and a hella lot cheaper!!!

AIRBNB OR STALK BOOKING.COM

So I have not personally been able to use Airbnb because people take too long to respond or cancel… but I hear good things and the prices look cheap! but I use booking.com because you can find apartment and hotels and it tells you straight forward how much it is going to cost for the amount of days you are staying. You also get $20 credit when you refer people!!!

Hotels.com

If you use Hotels.com every 10th stay is free!!!

TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS

Who doesn’t love travel buddies!!!! You get to travel with friends and you can split cost of rooming, transportation and what ever else you do!!!

MEET PEOPLE WHERE YOU ARE TRAVELING

I am saying this for two things… one if you meet someone who knows the area they will tell you all the secrets of what to do or where to go for cheap or just for fun! and TWO so you can stay somewhere for FREEEEEE!!!! I know some people may think it is weird but I promise this may be the best thing you decide to do and may lead to long time friendships! Ryan and I’s friend from High school who we didn’t speak too regularly opened her house to us when we went to Vegas and now we consider them to be one of our best friends and love them so much!!! So do not feel scared to step out of your comfort zone and you may friend a life long friend!!!

USE AAA IF YOU HAVE IT!!!!

IF YOU HAVE AAA YOU SOMETIMES GET CRAZY TRAVEL DEALS THAT ARE AMAZING SO USE IT!!!!!

Also keep the option of Renting a car

This again depends where you are traveling to because if you do not have to pay for parking everywhere and there is not crazy traffic and the rates for renting a car is cheaper for a longer travel period then do it!!! (AAA can be used for this as well!) Also if you are under 25 but older than 21 you can rent a car with AAA or the app called Turo!

SAY NO LESS AND SAY YES MORE!!!

Hope all these tips are useful and help you travel more!!! The key to traveling is in your hands it is up to you to save the few dollars of coffee or video games and travel! There is nothing better  than exploring and seeing the world!

MIAMI Museum of Ice Cream

Processed with VSCO with av8 preset

January 10th, 2018 My brothers, Ryan and I all traveled to Miami to visit the famous Museum of Ice cream! Okay so let’s first start with what I did not like about this place! We first encountered a rude employee who told us to go walk 4 blocks away to a Starbucks until our time came which was in 30 minutes and she did not even let Ryan use the bathroom even though we had tickets to this event and the bathrooms were right behind her. The lighting sucked in all the rooms. It was not worth the $45 for the experience. DO NOT GET ME WRONG I HAD A BLAST but if I am going to be honest I wiSh there were more rooms, more ice cream and a more upbeat friendly environment throughout the whole museum.

In some rooms they served Ice cream!!! WHO DOESN’T LOVE ICE CREAM!!! In this room they had Chocolate ice cream with Pink whip cream and a PINK cherry!!! I kinda question if a pink cherry is good or not for you but YOLO! Deff my favorite Free ice cream in the whole place!

In another room, they had a room filled with Ice cream windmills! In this room the employee was very entertaining and dancing the “Ice cream” Dance!!!

We of course had to take a pic on the Banana swing! This room also had a cherry swing which kinda reminded me of Miley Cyrus!

In other rooms we got Melted Ice cream which LITERALLY brought back childhood memories of the ice cream machines you would get at like Toys R Us to make at home ice cream! YUM! Frozen Chocolate bananas, and Key Lime Pie ice cream were also served for free!

We can not forget the famous sprinkle pool! I did not know the city was actually fined for getting the plastic sprinkles into the city water and potentially harming animals until I got home from the event or else I would of not had gone in as the Sprinkles really do follow you home! You get like 3 minutes in the sprinkle pool to take as many photos as you possible can and are timed by an employee who is literally counted out loud and not to mention was sweeping behind the pool too so like you could not get the perfect picture during the anxious count down! Thankfully, I was able to capture this photo as soon as we jumped in!!!

Over all I am just always happy to spend time with my family!

If you are looking to go to this Museum, I say if you have the money deff go and have fun! However, we were a little disappointed with the cast members, lighting and the limited amount of ice cream for the money we paid!

MY SEATTLE TRIP

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset
VIEW FROM THE AIRPLANE!!!

AHHH…. IT FEELS SO GOOD TO FINALLY SAY I WENT TO SEATTLE, WA!!! I say that because this was a surprise christmas present for my boyfriend Ryan! Seattle has been on his bucket list for years and I love traveling and looking for cheap plane tickets and found some and book them without telling him. We went to the airport and I have known about this trip for a month Ryan thought we were going to Colorado only BUT we got to the airport and I printed out a ticket and asked him to read it in which he found out!!!! He cried I cried it was great then began out 8 and a half hour travel day!!! WATCH RYAN’S REACTION HERE ON MY VLOG CHANNEL!!!

We got to Seattle at 12:00pm Seattle time and as soon as we arrived we rented a car through the app called TURO. We picked up the car and check in our hotel, The Hyatt in Renton next to Lake Washington. By the way the Hotel was BEAUTIFUL!!!! It is a brand new hotel we paid $130 a night and it is near so many food places and things to do, they have a plaza called The landing that has EVERYTHING!!! Not to mention all the hotel employees learned my name and always took the extra mile to make us happy and feeling at home. It was so peaceful and is on Lake Washington. I was in love with this city and would recommend taking a visit!

IMG_2999

However, as soon as we dropped off our bags we headed to Everett, WA which was less than an hour north of Renton. Everett is the home to FUNKO! Funko is the company that creates the collectibles called POP! figures. My boyfriend is a huge fanatic and knows the store managers and people all over the world that also collect. This was the main reason for this surprise trip!!! So we got to the store and Ryan went on a shopping spree!!! BUT then the store Manager gave us a huge behind the scenes tour!!! This office is the most magical fun office ever!!! They have slides to go down every floor, they have a private gym, arcade, and bowling alley!!! Who wouldn’t want to work there!!!

IMG_3021

We bowled and hung out at the Funko store all night!!! Special thanks again to the Funko community for their hospitality!!! After our visit we just went back to the hotel to catch up on sleep and get ready for the next day!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Our next day was our last full day in Seattle! We first woke up and headed to Pike’s Place! We ate at a restaurant right next to Pike’s Place Fish Co that had the most unbelievable view ever!!!! The food was okay but the view was everything and more!!!

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

After, we walked around all 5 floors of the market before heading to the gum wall which is to the left of Pike’s Place when you first enter the Public Market! We added a Polaroid and our gum to the gum wall and took photos like any tourist would haha!

B871D874-09B7-4D59-8708-07BB8D042E2A

After our gum experience we walked over to the first EVER Starbucks!!! The store is small and there is supposedly always a line but we got lucky, however, a tip when you go is do not waste time look at the cups and souvenirs because they give you a brand new one at the cashier desk and they have a menu of all the souvenirs that they have in the store so as soon as you get there just get in line!

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

We then went to the Space Needle, which is under renovations so it is not a full 360 view but is deff worth the view of the city, mountains and lake!!!

We had so much fun in this city and can not wait to come back to see more!!!

MY TATTOO STORIES

READ MORE ABOUT MY TATTOO STORIES

Hey everyone, it is Thursday!!! We are almost done with the work week!!! You can do it! So I know a lot of people do not know I have 3 small tattoos and I got my first tattoo when I was 18 years old! They each have their own stories and I can not wait to tell you them, so here it goes! Also I know a lot of people are against tattoos but I think about them as motivation and stories that live forever.

IMG_1884 2

This was my first tattoo I got when I was 18 years old and my most treasured tattoo. This tattoo is for 3 of the greatest women in my life. It is made up of three ribbons that make a triple infinity ring. The purple ribbon is for my Aunt who passed away from Lupus. I always knew I would get a tattoo for her. The blue ribbon is for my mom who has NF2 and the pink ribbon is for Ryan’s mom who is now a Breast Cancer survivor for 2 years now! They are three of the strongest women ever and I truly wanted to honor them and remind my self to stay strong like them. This tattoo is located on my right back shoulder.IMG_1437 This is my second tattoo! You can watch me get it HERE I love this tattoo and the location so much!!! If you do not know I used to struggle with anxiety and panic attacks really bad since I was 9 years old I now know more on how to control it but It got really bad to the point where I would not want to leave my house in fear that I would die. I just had the mentality that I was just scared of everything because it might kill me. I had a break where my anxiety got better but in 2013 I had a panic attack on airplane on my way to NYC and told my self and my family that I would never get on another airplane ever again. However, I got help and I realized that I can not stop doing something because of my “What ifs” and “fears” and got on another airplane and flew across the pond and has not stopped traveling and flying since my panic attack. I even jumped out of airplane!!!! (Skydiving vlog HERE) So a few months after a summer of travel I decided I wanted to get this tattoo for myself and did not tell anyone and surprised everyone!!! IMG_2456.jpg

I also love my third tattoo with my favorite person my mommy!!! I always knew I wanted to get a matching tattoo of with my mom or get her handwriting and the word “breath” tattoo on me. My mom then saw someone do something like this on Instagram and wanted to get it asap but we add a twist on this and got it done. I drew my mom’s heart and she drew my heart and we both have each others hand written hearts on each other! I love my mom and love my heart! Even though I made her redraw her first heart she drew because it looked like a butt LOL

Hope you enjoyed the read and let me know if you have any tattoo stories!!!

A DAY IN THE BAHAMAS

Nassau, Bahamas Photo/Edit: Andrea Jara

Last month my family and I went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and the first stop was Nassau, Bahamas! So since we visited the Bahamas through a cruise that meant we only had less than a day to explore the island. My family and I decided to take a Taxi to the world Famous Atlantis Resort!

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset
Atlantis Resort

As soon as you got off the boat, as per usual when you go on a cruise, all the excursion companies and all the taxis drivers get all in your face!

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset
Where all the businesses and taxis driver hung out.

There is also usually loads of shops where residents of the island make homemade souvenirs and sell food/water.P1220600 Before we got in our taxis we bought loads of $1 water from one of the shops outside, as that was probably the cheapest water we would find on the island.

Shops outside the boat on the port of Nassau, Bahamas

So after we bought water, we loaded up a taxis bus and drove to Atlantis resort! Also, since we were on an island they do not drive on the same side of the road like we do in the States, which made things SUPER SCARY. So we arrived to Atlantis and we had to pay for a day pass which allows you to just walk around the aquarium, beach and Resorts of Atlantis. The pass cost around $42. We received our wrist bands and we entered the resort, where the first thing you saw was a huge ROLEX store… I guess when you go to the Bahamas you go for some ICE ha ha ha (am I funny I think not lol.) My family and I decided to make our first stop in the Casino! In the United States you have to be 21 to Gamble but since the Bahamas is not part of the USA you are legal at 18! So we all played, I lost all my money (Don’t worry, I won back my money on the cruise ship.) Jovani and Ryan won money on the Wheel of Fortune machine, LUCKY!!!

P1220693
Jovani after he won on this Machine.

After we played all our money. We decided to walk around the water park area. Which was not included in our day pass but no one stopped us haha. So we walked around and honestly… I was so disappointed when I saw the slide that you see in EVERY ATLANTIS COMMERCIAL!!! It’s literally such a small drop and they make it seem like you are falling from space on TV!!! I WAS LIKE…ARE WE IN THE RIGHT PLACE…? After being disappointed, we decided to go to the Atlantis Aquarium!

P1220708
The aquarium at Atlantis

The aquarium had all the fish you would normally see at an aquarium. I would say the displays around the aquarium were super cool to see though! After the aquarium we just walked to the resorts private beach and walked across a rope bridge that dangles above HAMMER HEAD SHARKS!!! So then we finished up everything we could do with our Day pass, so we went back to the port but before we got back on the boat we went to a bar since again we were all LEGAL!!! We went to a bar called Twisted Lime and we all had our first family drink together!!! We drank BAHAMA MAMAS!!! WHICH HAS OVER 4!!!REPEAT 4!!! DIFFERENT LIQUORS IN IT!!! WHICH ALSO MEANS WE WERE ALL TIPSY L O L (besides Julian my little brother who was in my opinion being a hard ass.)

P1220838
BAHAMA MAMA!!!

So then as you could imagine any semi drunk or “tipsy” person, we were all laughing, singing and SMILING WAY TO MUCH ON OUR WAY BACK TO THE BOAT. We then got on the boat, ate lunch and crashed for a few hours. Bahamas was short but a short good time!

Hope you enjoyed- Watch my BAHAMAS VLOG HERE
